The distance between the vehicles is taken into account when crossing the start\/finish line or when crossing a check lane. You can configure the settings for the DRS function under Settings > Driving > DRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enable DRS:<\/strong> Turns the Drag Reduction System on or off for the current event. If disabled, none of the other settings will apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For what types of event do you want to enable DRS?<\/strong> Defines in which event types DRS should be available: <em>Free Practice<\/em>, <em>Qualifying<\/em>, or <em>Race<\/em>. Multiple options can be selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Which check points should activate DRS?<\/strong> Determines at which track sections DRS can be activated. By default, start\/finish is used. Additional Carrera Check Lane track pieces are required for other points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delay in laps before DRS becomes available (races only):<\/strong> Sets the number of laps that must be completed before DRS can be used (e.g. <strong>3 laps<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gap in seconds to the car in front to activate DRS:<\/strong> If the gap to the car ahead is smaller than or equal to the configured value, DRS will be activated automatically (e.g. <strong>1 second<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delay in seconds between receiving DRS and the speed boost being applied:<\/strong> Defines the waiting time before the boost is applied once DRS conditions are met (e.g. <strong>0.5 seconds<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time in seconds for which the DRS boost lasts after activation:<\/strong> Duration of the boost once activated (e.g. <strong>2 seconds<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speed if DRS is not active:<\/strong> Sets the base speed when DRS is inactive. This must be set below <strong>100\u00a0%<\/strong>, otherwise no boost can be applied. The value is relative to each car\u2019s configured speed setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speed if DRS is active:<\/strong> Defines the increased speed while DRS is active. This must be higher than the base speed for the boost to work correctly.
