Turn off the Control Unit’s power-saving mode/sleep mode

By default, the Carrera Digital Control Unit enters power-saving mode after approximately 20 minutes if it has not detected any controller inputs during that time. It is not always easy to wake it up again. Therefore, it may be advisable to disable power-saving mode/sleep mode. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the wireless receiver for the wireless hand controller or hand controller expansion box from the Control Unit.
2. Perform a reset. To do this, turn off the Control Unit and wait 5 seconds. Then hold down the ESC button and turn the Control Unit back on while holding down the button.
3. Now change the sleep mode: To do this, turn off the Control Unit, then wait 5 seconds. Next, hold down the FUEL button and turn the Control Unit back on while doing so.
4. If the Control Unit beeps once while turning on, sleep mode is off. If it beeps twice, it is on.
