Carrera Digital: Refueling isn’t working, even though the car is in the pits
If your car is in the pit but refueling isn’t working, it may be because the pit stop was immediately ended due to the position of the throttle lever on the controller.
The Carrera Digital Control Unit detects that a car is in “refueling enabled” mode when it passes over the sensor in the pit box track piece (the one with the “fuel” text printed on it). If the throttle lever on the controller is pressed more than halfway, this mode is automatically exited. As a result, the pit stop is ended.
If your car’s speed has been reduced (for example, by the weather feature in SmartRace) to the point where you have to press the throttle lever on the controller very hard (or even all the way down), then you’ll need to drive into the pits with great care and release the throttle lever immediately as soon as you pass the sensor in the Pit Stop Adapter Unit.
